I know they only provide info to the media outlets, but was curious whether folks here or at DailyKos, DonkeyRising, or Mystery Pollster will be getting data and posting it.
I've spent a little time reviewing the change in registration for the swing states for 2004, relative to 2000. These states include AZ, AR, CO, FL, IA, MI, MN, MO, NV, NM, OH, PA, and WV. Overall, these states have increased voter registration by a total of 5.2 million voters.
Some of these states report registration by party affiliation so I further assessed the party specific changes relative to 2000 for a subset of these states: AZ, FL, NV, NM, PA, and WV. (Two other states, IA and CO have registration by party but no numbers from 2000.)
There's a very nice compilation of the change in voter registration numbers for 26 states relative to 2000 -- and where possible, the change by party affiliation -- at the USA Today site. Should make some of us obsessive-compulsive voter-prediction whack-jobs very happy. <g>
